Announcement: Where to next?

It’s exactly one week until we fly to Warsaw, Poland. And exactly one week until our plans for this two-year RTW trip end.

It’s been two and a half months so far in a journey that has taken us to Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos, China, Mongolia and Russia. We’ve attended a decadent Indonesian wedding, climbed to the summit of Mt. Kinabalu, explored Hai’s roots in Vietnam, learned about the “secret war” still continuing in Laos, and ridden camels, horses and the Trans-Mongolian in our journey through China, Mongolia and Russia.

Why Poland next? Well, quite honestly, to get the Russian visa we required a flight out, and Warsaw was the cheapest option. Not that we weren’t going to get there anyway, Polish friends!

But with the time descending upon us, that does beg the question, where to next?

And the answer to that, nomads, is Ireland! Yes, we’re heading to Dublin for TBEX Europe 13. TBEX is the world’s largest gathering of travel bloggers, writers, and new media content creators and we can’t be more excited about it!

It’s a multi-day conference with the chance to hear from an amazing score of keynote speakers, network with leading industry experts and travel companies, and finally meet so many fellow travel bloggers whose journeys we have been following for the longest time. Are you in Dublin? Drop us a line and come join us for a Guinness!

After the conference, you ask? Well, apart from exploring Ireland (by the way, please send us any recommendations for this amazing country!), we’ll be back to “free-as-a-bird” status and searching for where the next wind will take us.

Which direction do you think the wind is blowing?

I would definitely go Scotland then Iceland after Ireland. Last year I got to see the Northern Lights and was an amazing experience. You can even take few day-trip to Greenland!

Gosh, I can imagine! The Northern Lights are a must! We definitely will be heading to the countries you mentioned, it's just a matter of which order. So many cool things to see!

Wet your index finger and stick it up high into the air. As you expect, the answer is blowing in the wind.

Hahaha Very true! Sometimes you need a method as impartial as this to help decide because there are so many options! Although something usually comes up that helps us make that decision or at least gives us the instinctive feeling that it is the right next step.

You guys seem to have left on your RTW trip at around the same time! I see your toothbrushes are in Serbia now ;)

Looking forward to following your journey and greetings from Warsaw!

Ireland looks amazing! It's on my list after Japan and Norway :) After that I suggest you check out Scotland and England. That's what I would do anyway! Have fun at TBEX! It sounds kind of awesome.

Not sure why it's saying I wrote that Snoop Dogg post... but if anyone is interested, my actual recent post is about World Suicide Prevention Day. You can check it out at http://ashleyloseth.wordpress.com/blog
