To me, mobile photography has always meant taking slightly blurry photos of attraction signboards as reference for a later date or the ability to capture those all important Wi-Fi passwords as we travel. Never have I considered using the camera ability of our smartphone, a relatively new Motorola Moto G with a 5mp shooter, for much else.
But during our initial few weeks in Turkey, we were fortunate enough to participate in a week-long Instameet with an international mix of Instagram's most talented. Over the course of the next 7 days, we were able to exchange useful tips and tricks while shooting at some of the best locations in the country, but what was most valuable to me was the opportunity to observe the creative processes behind many of the participants' beautiful images. And of course make great and lasting friendships.
So without further ado, I present to you our “The Month in Photos” mobile edition. Completely shot with our humble Moto G.
P.S. I haven't abandoned my beloved Sony mirrorless system yet but I definitely won't hesitate to use the smartphone again should the need arise.
