As we travel, we read some seriously awesome posts by other bloggers and we thought, why not share some of our favourites each week?
From now on, you can expect the top five blog posts we've read for the week and hopefully you'll discover some new finds too. If you have some other favourites you'd think we'd enjoy, we'd love it if you shared them in the comments section.
So without further ado, here are our top picks for the week.
1. Quick Guide to Berlin: An Overview of the German Capital by the GlobetrotterGirls
We loved this guide to Berlin by Dani of the GlobetrotterGirls. It's packed with useful information to get you acquainted with this amazing city. We particularly loved the sections on discovering “alternative” Berlin and thinking from a photographer's perspective, the panorama viewpoints. We'll sure be referencing this guide when we return to Berlin in January. I know, we haven't told you that yet. But here's to letting you know you can expect a whole lot more about Berlin in the coming couple of months!
2. Sunset to Sunrise over Makasutu Forest by Travel with Kat
I love posts that take you to a place, to a moment in time. And that's exactly what Kathryn Burrington has created with this look into her morning waking up in The Gambia. The kind of post that makes you want to book a trip there right now. Reminded me about what travel should really be all about.
3. Unique Coffee Experiences from Around the World Part 1 & Part 2 by eTramping.com
If you're a coffee lover, this recent collaboration by eTramping.com will have you happily on your way to caffeine heaven. In this two-part series, Agness asked bloggers about their coffee experiences around the world and they came back with no less than 45! We thought we knew about Vietnamese coffee but we'd never heard of a Vietnamese egg coffee before! Going on our must-try list next time we are in Vietnam. Best read with your favourite cup of Joe.
4. 10 Budget Airlines You May Not Know About (but probably should!) by Go Click Travel
You may know Bethaney of Go Click Travel from her other very successful travel site Flashpacker Family. Despite what it seems like sometimes, budget plane travel is not only about Ryanair or easyJet and we are always on the look out for other options to cut down on costs to get from A to B. We found this list of Budget Airlines You May Not Know About an extremely useful resource that's given us some inspiration for alternatives when planning future travels. Thanks, Bethaney!
5. I Think I Killed a Chicken on a Chicken Bus by Getting Stamped
This one was written some time ago by Adam of Getting Stamped, but we only discovered it today, and did it have us laughing! We too have also been in the position of accidentally making it chicken night on our travels – remember that time I was in Indonesia? An entertaining read to start your week.
