In this week’s round-up of our ‘photo a day project’, we take a holiday. ;) Visiting two of Croatia’s most renowned World Heritage sites, Plitvice Lakes and later on the week, Dubrovnik. As unusual as it may sound, travelling and holidaying isn’t always one and the same. So, on occasions we like to just ‘switch off’ and enjoy the moment, at least as much as we can. :)
Here’s what we’ve been up to recently!
October 6th 2014. Autumn colours. We can’t believe it’s already that time of year, when the weather gets cooler and the leaves start changing colour. Fortunately, it’s our favourite season. Do you have a favourite?
October 7th 2014. On the grape vine. For a relatively small nation, Croatia boasts 59,000 acres of vineyards producing grapes for 800 wineries, and is increasingly being recognised for its award-winning wines. Now that’s something we can drink to. :)
October 8th 2014. Autumn boardwalk. The stunning landscapes, towering waterfalls and beautifully saturated autumn colour made the 7 hours it took to get to and from the UNESCO World Heritage listed Plitvice Lakes well worth the trip.
October 9th 2014. Our backyard. Our month in beautiful Split, Croatia is almost up! The question is, should we extend our stay just a little longer?
October 10th 2014. Road trip. Hitching a ride with our awesome travel blogger buddies, the Benders of Travel with Bender, to none other than King’s Landing (otherwise known as Dubrovnik) for the weekend. :)
August 11th 2014. Cocktail of the day. It’s not very often that we get to lounge in a heated pool with a fancy drink in hand, watching the sun set over the Adriatic. Swim-up bar. Best idea ever?
October 12th 2014. City walls. Another picture perfect day exploring Dubrovnik with ToursByLocals.com chasing ‘Game of Thrones’ sets.
