In this week’s round-up of our ‘photo a day project’, we make sure we get a real taste of Bled, Slovenia before spending a long day on three buses to get to Split, Croatia, our base for the next month!
Here’s what we got up to this week!
September 15th 2014. A piece of ‘Bled cream’ cake! A golden crispy crust made from butter dough, covered with a thick slab of delightful vanilla cream, topped with whipped cream, another layer of crispy butter dough and finally, last but not least, a dusting of icing sugar. Would you accept this challenge?
September 16th 2014. Adriatic sunset. Our base for the next month to explore sunny Croatia and prepare for various events and projects to round off the year. Did we make the right choice?
September 17th 2014. Moon lit. When it comes to best sounds to lull us to sleep, we’ve decided waves lapping the shore comes in at a close second to rain on corrugated iron roofing. What are your favourite sounds to drift off to?
Photo a day project: September 18th 2014. Summer daze. Fitting in as much sun and surf while we can here in Split because we hear winter is coming.
September 19th 2014. Floating. Since we’ll be by the sea here in Split for a month, we decided to invest in an inflatable pool mattress and snorkels. Do you think we can smuggle these to Greece and Sri Lanka with us too?
September 20th 2014. Video rig. When you’re a production team of two, it’s necessary to improvise sometimes to get the required shots. Action Cam for the wide and NEX for the close crop.
September 21st 2014. Dusk fishing. What Hai’s been carrying in his backpack for over a year: a 13ft long telescopic fishing rod and tackle. He doesn’t think this to be an odd choice. What’s the strangest item you’ve brought along on your travels?
