In this week’s round-up of our ‘photo a day project’, we visit the timeless World Heritage City of Bath and say goodbye to London in a flurry of fun and feathers!
Here’s what we got up to this week!
Photo a day project: March 31st 2014. Sakura. With photos flooding in from our friends in Tokyo this week of the beautiful blooming cherry blossoms, we got our own taste of Spring here in the World Heritage Site of Bath.
Photo a day project: April 1st 2014. Crescent Weir. People have been worshipping the water in Bath for thousands of years. Whether promenading along the River Avon or ‘taking the waters’ from the natural hot springs, it’s easy to see why so many have been drawn to this place.
Photo a day project: April 2nd 2014. Behind the clock. The Tower Tour at Bath Abbey is well worth the £6 and hour of your time. Explore the internal workings of the Abbey, admire the city from the tallest building in Bath and even have a go at chiming the Abbey bells!
Photo a day project: April 3rd 2014. Lewisham Micro Library. This old phone booth turned book haven is now apparently London’s smallest library. But you won’t be needing a library card here. Based on an honesty system, simply take one of interest and leave another behind for someone else to enjoy. Read our latest post on this innovative book exchange here.
Photo a day project: April 4th 2014. Change of scenery. There’s always something new and fun happening in London. This pop-up art display at Borough Market grabbed the attention of passersby with its vibrant colours and interesting design. If you looked closely, there were even messages hand-written on the undersides of the paper. One pearl of wisdom said, “Don’t be a ghost.”
Photo a day project: April 5th 2014. Serious fun. It was all ‘go hard or go home’ at World Pillow Fight Day festivities in Trafalgar Square, London.
Photo a day project: April 6th 2014. Kiev International Airport. After 7 unforgettable weeks in the UK, we’re on the road again. Next up: Turkey, a country that’s been very high on our “must visit” list since we ever had one! For free with the cheap flight, getting to stay awake all night and a brief early morning transit in the Ukraine. These nomads are awaiting the Turkish coffee at the other end.
